centrifugal force affects a material that moves in a circular pattern
by pulling it away from the central axis. It can be used for
regulating the pressure and the motion in the pump. So, the
centrifugal pump is usually the best option for residential,
industrial and commercial applications, as they provide lower
viscosity liquids and high flow rates.
What Material It Can Be Made Of?
The centrifugal pump can be made
of many materials, depending on the application. For example, for
construction use, it is recommended to use a centrifugal pump made
of some rigid material, such as iron. From various plastics and
stamped stainless steel for lighter applications, to stainless steel,
exotic allows, rigid plastics and bronzes for more complicated
applications.
Where Is Centrifugal Pump Used?
The centrifugal pump is low
pressure, high discharge generating pump. So, it can be used in many
different applications, including industrial, municipal, commercial,
scientific and many other fields. However, a centrifugal pump is
mainly used to pump an accurate volume of liquid for treating water,
such as drinking, boiler, waster, swimming pool water and others.
Applications that require extremely high pressures use centrifugal
pumps, or when metering liquids is needed.
